When a vintage Moroccan rug becomes worn or damaged, artisans upcycle the fabric into floor poufs and pillows. Each piece carries the same rich history, traditional Berber artistry, and distinct character as the original rug. 

Because they’re handmade and one-of-a-kind, no two floor rug poufs are alike, making them highly sought after for bohemian or eclectic interior décor styles.

Due to vintage nature there may be markings, some fading, and minor discolorations. These are not considered defects. The bottom may have markings from the vendor, but are hidden when upright.

These poufs come UNSTUFFED. This is authentic to Moroccan tradition. Below are some tips for easy and quick stuffing:

• The traditional Moroccan way of stuffing is to use old clothes, towels, linens etc. This is not only the most eco-friendly way but it also provides storage and the most sturdy option when using it as a floor chair or ottoman. Be sure to fill it completely to fill out the edges. Videos may be available online for tutorials.
  
  
• Fill your Moroccan pouf with polyester stuffing (or pillow filling). You can probably find some at your local fabric store.
  
  Important: This type of stuffing will fill up your pouf nicely, however, it won’t make it stiff enough for you to sit comfortably, Use polyester stuffing if you plan to use your pouf only as a decor element, if it is only to be used by a child, or if it is only to be used to kick up your feet.
